Our client, a leading financial services firm, seeks an experienced Senior Database Developer to join their team in Agoura Hills, CA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain relational and dimensional databases that support the data warehouse and data marts.
- Create entity relationship diagrams, data dictionaries, and mapping documents to ensure seamless database integration.
- Utilize advanced Transact-SQL skills, including stored procedures, ETL, and OLAP tools to implement effective solutions.
- Support implemented solutions by monitoring queries and data loads, addressing user questions, and communicating functional and technical issues.
- Perform code inspections and refactor code to meet high standards.
- Participate in data model reviews, walkthroughs, application performance analysis, and module analysis.
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
- Demonstrate behaviors aligned with the organization's desired culture and values.
Required Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of experience in scripting languages such as Perl, Python, PowerShell, C#, or Java.
- Experience in developing OLAP cubes and data visualization technologies.
- Ability to perform routine DBA tasks, including setting up access policies, data migrations, ETL operations, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
- Programming experience with a focus on designing complex SQL queries and business components.
- Financial Services experience, particularly in the mortgage industry, is highly desirable.
