Position Overview
The Human Resources Director is a senior-level leader responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies, policies, and practices that align with the organizations goals and values. This role oversees all aspects of the human resources function, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and organizational development. The Human Resources Director will report directly to the Chief Human Resources Officer.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership :
Develop and execute HR strategies that support the organizations mission, vision, and long-term goals.
Partner with executive leadership to align HR initiatives with business objectives.
Monitor industry trends to ensure the organization remains competitive in recruitment, benefits, and employee engagement.
Talent Acquisition and Workforce Planning :
Oversee recruitment efforts, ensuring the organization attracts, hires, and retains top talent.
Develop workforce planning strategies to meet current and future staffing needs.
Implement effective onboarding processes to integrate new hires into the organization.
Employee Relations and Engagement :
Foster a positive workplace culture that supports diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Address employee concerns and mediate workplace conflicts as needed.
Design and execute initiatives to enhance employee engagement and satisfaction.
Performance Management and Training :
Implement performance appraisal systems that promote employee development and accountability.
Identify training needs and create programs to enhance skills, leadership, and career development.
Compliance and Risk Management :
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
Develop and enforce policies that mitigate risks related to employment practices.
Maintain accurate records and oversee audits related to HR functions.
Compensation and Benefits :
Oversee the design and management of competitive compensation and benefits programs.
Evaluate and negotiate vendor relationships for benefits and HR services.
Monitor and ensure alignment of pay practices with organizational budgets and equity principles.
HR Operations :
Manage HR budgets and resources effectively.
Oversee HR systems and technology, ensuring efficient and secure operations.
Lead, mentor, and develop the HR team.
Qualifications
Education : Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Masters degree preferred).
Experience : Minimum of 710 years of progressive HR leadership experience, with at least 3 years in a senior HR role.
Certifications : SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or equivalent preferred.
