Role
The Marketing Data Strategist takes a lead role in supporting key and strategic decision making by providing detailed analysis, data/metrics reporting and actionable insights to automate, streamline and improve overall reporting, processes, and performance of credit union marketing strategies. This role will gather and analyze data from various databases and sources. The successful candidate will develop reports, summaries, recommendations, and visual representations of data.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
20% - Develop data-driven marketing strategies that support credit union business objectives, including member acquisition, retention, and engagement. Collaborate with the marketing team to implement plans that utilize member data to personalize messages, offers, and campaigns.
20% - Reporting from data sources and marketing tools to drive marketing strategy. This will include reports, queries, mailing/email lists and so forth. It will also include tasks related to ongoing reporting, projects, or one time needs and requests. This role will work cross-functionally with marketing, internal teams, and vendors/partners to gather, interpret, and apply member data in ways that enhance overall marketing strategies. Collaborate with the internal technology team and other vendor/partners to ensure the seamless integration of data sources and that data is accessible and actionable for marketing purposes.
20% - Monitor and track analytics and ROI on all marketing strategies. Effectively communicate findings and recommendations to marketing team and other stakeholders. This also includes strong data verification skills to ensure integrity of data and results.
20% - Management of member survey program.
20% - Other duties as assigned. Flexibility and the ability to problem solve and analyze data is important to this position. New data sources and programs become available, and this position will include learning about the data and how it will benefit the credit union and our members. Identify additional ways to use data that is currently underutilized. This will also include marketing research and continuous learning to help the credit union best serve the needs of our members through data driven strategies.
Performance Measurements
Experience: Three years to five years of similar or related experience.
Education: (1) A bachelor's degree, or (2) achievement of formal certifications recognized in the industry as equivalent to a bachelor's degree (e.g., information technology certifications in lieu of a degree).
Interpersonal Skills: Work normally involves contacts with persons beyond immediate associates generally regarding routine matters for purposes of giving or obtaining information which may require some discussion.
Other Skills
Proficient in the use of MS suite of software.
Strong customer service skills and a willingness to assist others.
Must be able to effectively communicate to all levels within the organization and with all levels of technical competency.
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong time management skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to think critically and comprehend and document issues and gather beneficial information to assist and expedite programming solutions.
