Role:
Responsible for providing exceptional member experience to both current and prospective business members. This is done through relationship building a consultative approach to meeting members lending needs. Collecting and analyzing all required financial data, both with documentation and by asking the necessary questions to gather full understanding of each unique scenario to create a viable solution including but not limited to terms, conditions, and collateral requirements. Managing of assigned portfolio relationship including regular outreach regarding account needs, collecting past due accounts, and recommending (cross selling) additional solutions available at ELGA including treasury services.

Relationship Focused: Works with new loan opportunities for both existing and prospective business members with goal of generating new loans, deposits, and other relevant products and service. Effectively communicates with members and prospective members as part of on-going business and relationship development. Must work collaboratively and positively influence, creating and deepening relationships with both external credit union members and internal team members. Answering members calls and actively following up and following through with member requests.

Identify, evaluate and make determinations regarding key credit risk/ risk drives and propose strategies to mitigate such risks. Strive for outstanding member service while minimizing credit union losses by monitoring loan portfolio and repayment activities, taking timely action on renewals and delinquencies.

Independently review and analyze financial information including financial statements, corporate tax returns, personal tax returns, rent rolls, leases and other information provided/obtained.

Works with the Commercial Credit Analyst to update and maintain covenants and Monitoring spreadsheets related to continued servicing of loan files.

Knowledge and Skills:
Experience
One year to three years of similar or related experience.
Education
(1) A two-year college degree, or (2) completion of a specialized certification or licensing, or (3) completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors, or (4) job-specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program.
Interpersonal Skills
Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.
