Job Summary:
The ESRI Project Manager is responsible for leading and managing the successful delivery of GIS (Geographic Information Systems) projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise in GIS software, and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders including clients, developers, and other teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage ESRI-based GIS projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they meet project goals, timelines, and budget requirements.
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, goals, deliverables, and timelines, in alignment with business objectives.
- Manage day-to-day project operations, ensuring the successful execution of tasks and milestones.
- Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to define project requirements and expectations.
- Ensure all project documentation is maintained, including progress reports, risk assessments, and change management logs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues that may arise during the project lifecycle, ensuring the client s needs are met.
- Facilitate project meetings, ensuring effective communication between team members and stakeholders.
- Oversee the configuration, implementation, and deployment of ESRI GIS solutions, ensuring proper integration with existing systems.
- Monitor project performance, adjusting plans as necessary to meet changing client needs or project objectives.
- Provide training and support to clients and internal teams on ESRI products and GIS solutions.
- Manage project risks and issues, identifying potential problems early and developing mitigation strategies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Geography, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in project management, preferably in GIS or ESRI-related projects.
- Strong knowledge of ESRI s suite of software, including ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and other related tools.
- Project Management certification (PMP, Scrum Master, or similar) is preferred.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working with clients and understanding their business needs.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Desired Skills:
- Experience with GIS implementation and customization.
- Knowledge of cloud-based GIS solutions and platforms.
- Experience in Agile methodologies and project management tools like Jira
- Understanding of data management, spatial analysis, and map production.
