Our client, a nationwide manufacturer and distributor of custom-built lab equipment, has an immediate need for an experienced Field Service Technician, to join their winning team in Amesbury. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES : Provide customer service and tech support over the telephone, internet and at customer sites. Using SharpSpring record incoming requests for service and parts. Manage Service Calendar / SharpSpring to ensure all requests are completed. Send User Manuals before new systems ship, provide install requirements. Establish service requirements by studying system design. Communicate with customer prior to arrival on site for installation, repair, and maintenance as needed. Travel, up to 75% of the time, may include some international travel. Produce timely and detailed service reports. Exhibit professional appearance and conduct while providing a world-class customer experience. Assist with quoting standard spare part items. Comprehend customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations. Build positive relationships with customers. Clearly and professionally interact with customer, regarding status of service. KEY REQUIREMENTS : Previous field service experience is strongly preferred. Possess demonstrable trouble shooting skills. Experience as an electrician or other technician may be helpful. Ability to read wiring diagrams. Basic knowledge of and ability to operate hand and power tools. Be able to operate electrical tools ie multi-meter. Superior customer service skills. Interact and communicate well with customers. Exhibit professional appearance and conduct while providing a world-class customer experience. Current, valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Self-motivated. Experience working with minimal supervision. Technical diploma, Certificate of Completion, Military experience is a plus.
