About The Opportunity

The Regional Sales Manager must be located in the Northeast US and is accountable for managing and leading our sales efforts in an assigned regional territory. In this role you will be responsible for driving profitable sales growth through multiple business channels including independent distributors, company joint ventures, company owned distributor operations, and direct accounts. The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for creating and nourishing strong business relationships across our various business channels and effectively maximize sales of products for the company and exceed ambitious sales targets and market share growth objectives.

As Regional Sales Manager for ELGi Industrials, you will be responsible for:

  • Develop various business channels while providing a quality experience at all operation levels to our customers. Work diligently with all business channel partners to provide a high level of customer satisfaction and to cultivate strong customer relationships.
  • Develop a strong relationship with our business channel partners embodying mutual trust and respect. Influence the course of action of our channel partners to the mutual benefit of the Company and channel partners. Manage day-to-day interest, plans and goals of the Company to meet or exceed the needs of the customer and to exceed sales objectives.
  • Communicate the needs of the customers and channel partners to the appropriate department within the Company who are responsible for follow-up action.
  • Attain market share goals through product sales. Market and sell all available company products to drive branding. Develop and manage the sales process in the assigned territory. Drive appropriate inventory.
  • Develop and implement a regional sales strategy to achieve revenue and market share objectives. Cultivate new business channel partners as required to exceed market share initiatives and goals.
  • Maintain the Company CRM data bank that includes storing and managing contact information and leads and tracking progress of sales opportunities.
  • Build relationships and assist business channel partners to maximize success in the areas of sales, service and parts. This would include end-user customer sales calls in conjunction with our business partners.
  • Develop and maintain product knowledge and application expertise commensurate with ELGi standards. Conduct business channel and end user training and facilitate sales training schools (new products and competitive). Participate in joint call visits to end users.
  • Drive performance by holding quarterly Sales/Action Plan meetings with core channel partners. Present market share data and competitive trends. Review established sales goals, objectives and action plans with business channel leaders and provide feedback of meeting with ELGi management team.
  • Proactively work with channel partner leaders to ensure appropriate sales coverage within the assigned area.
  • Provide feedback to the ELGi Product Management & Marketing Organization (PMMO) on market conditions, pricing, competitive landscape and distributor activities Conduct market research and competitor analysis to stay informed of industry trends and opportunities. Work with Company sales and marketing leadership to development programs and promotions to drive sales activity and maximize installed base of ELGi machines within the assigned territory.
  • Travel throughout the assigned region to meet with channel partners, end customers, and attend industry events and trade shows.
  • Other tasks as needed or assigned.

About You

The Regional Sales Manager opportunity may be an excellent match for you if you have the following qualifications:

  • 7 years of increasing responsibility in sales and/or marketing roles for capital equipment products
  • Strong understanding of air compressor technology and applications.
  • Direct experience in distribution and OEM sales
  • Demonstrated success in sales within a global industrial business environment
  • Demonstrated business acumen and ability to build trust and rapport with customers at all levels.
  • Proven ability to develop and manage high performing teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem- solving skills
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to travel extensively within the assigned region.
  • Full and current US driving license
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering
