This is a Part-Time Adjunct Faculty position with the following pay rate per contact hour:
Less than MA: $1,069 MA or Above: $1,109
The offer will be based on education and experience, in alignment with the College's compensation philosophy and the current Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), if applicable.

Job Summary:
|
Adjunct teaching faculty provide instruction aligned with the college's strategic goals and evaluate students' progress to facilitate achievement of their educational goals.
|
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
|
1.Master's degree in Spanish focused on literature or culture of the language; or a master's degree in related discipline with at least 18 graduate hours in the discipline 2. College teaching experience preferred 3. College teaching experience with in-person and online asynchronous modalities preferred 4. Commitment to the community college mission and philosophy 5. Commitment to meeting the diverse academic needs of community college students including first generation students, older students, students of color, neurodivergent, and non-native speakers of English. 6. Bilingual Fluency: Must be fluent in both English and Spanish, with the ability to read, write, and speak both languages proficiently.

Essential Duties:
|
- Deliver Instruction.
- Promote culturally responsive instructional practices.
- Conduct assigned classes and/or labs.
- Prepare lessons.
- Provide course syllabus aligned with contractual requirements.
- Verify student enrollment and submit grade sheets.
- Utilize learning outcomes assessment and measures to improve learning/instruction.
- If a lab is involved:
- Prepare labs.
- Enforce lab safety procedures.
- Evaluate Student Progress.
- Keep accurate record of student performance.
- Provide students with regular confidential and readily available access to grades.
- Provide students with timely feedback.
- Provide Student Assistance.
- Maintain office hours aligned with contractual requirements.
- Respond to voice-mail/e-mail communication in a timely manner.
- Refer students to student support services such as, but not limited to, recommended use of the early alert system, if applicable, as early in the semester as possible when a student indicates or shows signs of academic difficulty.
- Implement accommodations and accessible materials for students with disabilities in accordance with an official disability notification of accommodation provided by Student Access and Disability Services.
- Participate in Departmental/Institutional Routines.
- Participate in assessment of student learning outcomes at the course level, excluding any associated course assessment report writing.
