Job Summary
We are seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team. In this position, you will assist our six young people with their daily living needs, provide compassionate care, and generally increase their quality of life. Responsibilities may include monitoring vital signs, assisting with personal care, following goals determined by the Physical and occupational therapists, providing social opportunities for residents, going on outings or to appointments with residents, and communicating well with residents, staff, consultants and families. The ideal candidate is compassionate, reliable, friendly, and able to manage time well.
Responsibilities
Assist with daily living activities
Assist with personal hygiene needs and dressing
Assist with physical and occupational therapy goals
Able to learn new clinical skills
Provide a friendly, caring and supportive environment for our residents
Monitor vital signs
Collaborate well with co-workers, supervisor, consultants and families
Complete paperwork in a timely manner
Neat and tidy and able to perform some general household tasks
Qualifications
High school diploma / GED
Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
First aid and CPR certified preferred
Basic computer skills
Ability to adhere to all health and safety guidelines
Excellent communication and interpersonal spills
Ability to lift heaving objects
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Ability to work with limited supervision
Compassionate, respectful, ethical
Able to pass Livescan background check and drug test
