Position Description
The Associate Director of Assurance Data Analytics and Automation Strategy will collaborate with management and staff, and partners across various business functions to advance and enhance data analytics capabilities across the enterprise.
This individual will lead the implementation of CAS's data analytics strategy, with a main focus on predictive analytics, real-time risk monitoring, artificial intelligence, and process automation. This leader will foster collaborative relationships with audit colleagues and business partners to enhance the impact of analytics in strengthening the company's risk and control environment.
To maintain a comprehensive perspective on data analytics opportunities, the Associate Director may occasionally work with 2-8 person audit teams on domestic and global audits to ensure alignment with corporate policies and internal control practices.
Primary Position Responsibilities
Technical Leadership
- Actively define and implement the CAS Data Analytics Strategy, emphasizing predictive analytics, real-time risk monitoring, artificial intelligence, and process automation.
- Provide technical leadership in data warehouse architecture, data engineering, Extract / Transform / Load (ETL) processes / solutions, and advanced analytics capabilities (e.g., machine learning).
- Develop project plans, ensure adherence to project schedules, and work with leadership and collaborators to set priorities and outline long-term analytics recommendations.
- Mentor a team of data analytics professionals and support organizational upskilling efforts in data analytics, artificial intelligence, and automation.
- Collaborate with CAS, Ethics and Compliance, Tech@Lilly (IT), and other teams to build and maintain cross-functional analytics data infrastructure, including data management and modeling across both integrated and disparate data sources.
- Actively monitor internal and industry resources to proactively identify and implement opportunities that enhance organizational capabilities.
