**Job Summary**
We are seeking a detail-oriented, advanced level pharmacy technician who will perform daily pharmacy tasks and patient care in our team.
**Responsibilities:**
Advanced Pharmacy Technician
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Process prescriptions and prepare medications accurately.
- Resolve insurance rejection issues.
- Monitor storage and inventory of medications and supplies.
- Meets productivity goals for fast paced environment.
- Monitors workflow priorities to ensure promise times.
- Communicate with patients in professional manner to alert them of any issues or delays with their prescription.
- Coordinate/Prepare medication deliveries.
- Cooperate with pharmacists to meet State Laws and Regulations.
Patient Care Task
· Provides quality customer service to patients and healthcare providers.
· Answers and directs phone calls.
· Contacts patients to inform them of their insurance coverage, benefits, and copay.
· Verifies shipping info and collects credit card information from patient if needed.
· Transfers the patient to the Pharmacist for consultation on new prescriptions.
· Daily follow up calls to patients and providers as needed.
· Documents entire process in pharmacy software for tracking purposes.
· Manages the Return to Stock process.
**Requirements**
- Prior experience in retail pharmacy (At least 3 years)
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Professional and courteous; demonstrates PCP core values
- Problem solving and strong math skills
- A demonstrated ability to pay close attention to detail
- Personal pride in delivering high quality products while following operational protocols and requirements
- A highly motivated and productive self-starter
- Ability to prioritize tasks and excellent time management in a fast paced, high volume workload environment
- High School Diploma/GED
- Current active GA pharmacy technician license
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week
