Our client is seeking a highly skilled Back end C#/.NET Developer with a proven track record in technology leadership and building reliable applications to join our growing team. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for all stages of the development cycle, including architecture, design, coding, support, and feature testing.
This is a contract to hire opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration. Rate: $60- $67 / hr. w2
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and support web applications using C# and relevant frameworks, including VB.NET, ASP.NET MVC, VBScript, and .NET Core.
• Design, develop, and maintain web APIs for data sharing and service-oriented architecture.
• Develop and support back-end applications, ensuring seamless connectivity to MS SQL databases.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality deliverables and adherence to project timelines.
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 5 years of work experience in C# with expert-level coding skills; preference for candidates with 7 years of experience.
• Strong experience with .NET Core, ASP.NET, or VB.NET is a plus, with a primary focus on expert C# development skills.
• Extensive experience in connecting APIs to back-end databases, particularly MS SQL.
• Expertise in creating methods and functions with C# and a solid understanding of object-oriented development concepts.
• Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Fast learner, creative thinker, and problem solver.
• Team player who is highly motivated and capable of self-management.
• Preference for candidates with experience in securing APIs and services using OAuth.
• Solid understanding of SQL fundamentals.
• Familiarity with other languages and technologies is a plus but not required.
• Experience with Git branching and TFS/CI concepts and tools.
• Experience in writing acceptance tests.
• Experience in maintaining existing and/or legacy code is a plus.
• Proven ability to work in a collaborative environment; lone wolves and rock stars need not apply.
• Experience working to specifications and on managed projects, including effort estimating, time tracking, progress reporting, and demos.
Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
