Are you a seasoned AWS Data Engineer with a passion for building robust data warehouse environments? We are looking for a talented individual to join our team and play a pivotal role in developing our data warehouse, specifically configured for downstream Customer BI/Reporting efforts. This is a remote position, but you will work EST hours on an initial 12-month contract
Due to client requirement, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.
Rate: $65 - $75 / hr. w2

Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the design, build, test, and deployment of data warehouse components using AWS Redshift.
- Collaborate with Product Owners and Data Architects to align on delivery goals and ensure seamless integration with BI/Reporting tools.
- Develop and refine data pipelines with a focus on real-time and batch data processing.
- Design user-friendly data warehousing solutions that prioritize performance and ease of use.
- Manage and resolve issues in production data warehouse environments on AWS.
Experience Requirements:
Top Skills:
- AWS Redshift: Expertise in data warehousing, reporting, and analytics.
- Other Key AWS Services: Proficiency with Lake Formation, Glue, DynamoDB, Aurora, and Terraform.
- Key Concepts: Strong understanding of data processing and real-time processing.
Core Technical Skills:
- 5 years of AWS experience with services like S3, EMR, Glue, Lambda, Athena, and more.
- Proficient in Python, Spark, PySpark, and Pandas.
- Experience with Kafka/Messaging, preferably Confluent Kafka.
- Strong understanding of database management and data modeling.
- Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation).
- Experience with DevOps pipelines (CI/CD), Bitbucket, and Concourse.
- Deep knowledge of IAM roles, policies, and AWS monitoring services.
Additional Skills (Nice to Have):
- Experience with AWS technologies like Kinesis and OpenSearch.
- Familiarity with Hadoop platforms and languages like Java, Scala, or Node.js.
- Background in Kubernetes, Distributed Systems, and Microservice architecture.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field or 7 years of similar experience
