Java Web Developer

Seeking a Java Developer that thrives in an environment where we are using innovative technologies to support our digital transformation journey. Member of an agile engineering scrum team working in a fast-paced environment, closely collaborating with product, architecture, and other engineering teams. We will provide a mentor for you as you learn to navigate your new role. We offer dedicated time each month to investigate new technologies.

Due to client requirement, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Rate: $50 - $65 / hr. w2

Responsibilities

• Experience in designing, developing, and maintaining high-volume transactional systems
• Experience in developing cloud native applications in Azure/AWS
• Actively participates in formal reviews of architecture, design, and code
• Publishes clear, concise, and detailed design documentation
• Provides support for software releases into production environments
• Experience with Agile and Scrum Methodologies is appreciated

Experience Requirements

• 6 years of software development experience on business critical, enterprise wide applications
• Your skills as a great teammate are vital as you join a highly functioning scrum team in an agile work environment. You jump in and assist when help is needed and push to get the stories completed as you finish sprints and add valuable experiences for our customers.
• You will have clear and effective communication and will share your ideas and opinions as we look to innovate and improve our platforms.
• You will bring a growth mentality to work every day as you continue to learn new technologies and skills which you share with your scrum teammates. You will ask for feedback and put goals in place to help improve your own skill set.
• You will use your data security skills to keep our customers information safe.
• You have sophisticated development skills in Java using Spring Boot Framework
• You bring experience with DevOps, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery using Azure
• You have experience developing software utilizing relational databases (Oracle and SQL Server)
• You bring experience with Source Control Systems such as GIT
• You bring an understanding of Micro-services Architecture and domain driven design patterns
• You have experience with Test automation for unit, functional and non-functional testing (Postman, SOATEST, SOASTA, Cucumber)
• You have ability to understand and adapt to changing business priorities and technology advancements
• You have ability to develop technical artifacts based on analysis of business and systems requirements
• You bring strong organizational skills coupled with effective written and verbal communication skills
• You have excellent collaboration skills to work with multiple teams in the organization

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technology field

Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
