Our property and casualty insurance client is seeking a program manager.
Due to client requirement, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.
Rate: $70 - $80/hr
Responsibilities:
Project Leadership and Strategy:
- Establish a clear program structure with defined ownership and accountability to ensure alignment and effective communication.
- Build strong relationships with leadership and stakeholders to define project scope and resolve conflicts.
- Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, including timelines and dependencies, using Workfront.
- Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess project success and benefit realization.
- Collaborate with Finance and Portfolio Program Manager to monitor project budgets and expenses.
- Oversee department portfolio governance, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and business strategy.
- Facilitate cross-department collaboration to execute department priorities effectively.
- Provide regular updates on project progress, changes, risks, and issues.
- Apply appropriate project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid) to optimize execution.
Change Management:
- Develop and implement change strategies to drive readiness and adoption of new operating models.
- Lead change management activities, focusing on leadership enablement, training, and resistance management.
- Gather feedback to diagnose issues and inform corrective actions.
Team Leadership and Coaching:
- Define clear roles and responsibilities within the project team.
- Lead and inspire project teams, fostering continuous improvement and development.
- Implement performance metrics to monitor team efficiency and project outcomes.
Risk and Issue Management:
- Proactively identify and mitigate project risks to minimize impact on timelines and outcomes.
- Track, escalate, and resolve issues promptly to ensure minimal disruption.
- Develop contingency plans to address potential challenges.
Evaluation and Transition:
- Conduct post-project evaluations to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement.
- Document lessons learned and best practices for future projects.
- Measure and report project execution success and change adoption using analytics.
- Manage smooth project closeout and transition, ensuring all deliverables are completed and documentation is finalized.
Experience Requirements
- 7-10 years of experience in program and project management with experience leading multiple medium and large initiatives concurrently.
- 3-5 years of experience in change management execution.
- Proven experience in defining and implementing governance structures and processes.
- Proven ability to perform well under pressure, managing high demand and tight deadlines.
- Skilled in developing and managing comprehensive project plans leveraging Project Management software (i.e., Workfront).
- Strong relationship-building with leadership and internal stakeholders.
- Change Management qualifications (e.g., ADKAR certification) a plus.
- Experience in insurance industry, property loss prevention, or research a plus.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required, MS or MBA a plus.
Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
