Security Administrator

The Security Administrator will be responsible for monitoring, detecting, and responding to security threats and incidents. This role requires a proactive and analytical thinker with a strong background in security operations and threat intelligence.

This is a contract to hire opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration. Rate: $50 - $65 / hr. w2

Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and respond to potential threats in a timely manner.
• Conduct threat detection and intelligence analysis to identify potential security risks.
• Collaborate with team members to develop and implement security measures.
• Write detailed reports on security incidents and present findings to executives.
• Conduct research on emerging security threats and trends.
• Engage in public speaking and presentations to communicate security strategies and findings.
• Maintain effective communication with executives and stakeholders regarding security operations.

Experience Requirements

• 2-4 years of experience in security operations, with a focus on alerting, threat detection, and threat intelligence.
• Background in military, law enforcement, or government is highly desirable.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to identify and understand the tactics of malicious actors.
• Excellent report writing and public speaking skills.
• Ability to conduct thorough research and communicate findings effectively.

Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
