What are the responsibilities and job description for the Test Engineer position at Eliassen Group?
We are seeking a skilled Test Engineer IV to join our team in evaluating and testing tactical network systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in preparing test plans, conducting performance evaluations, and ensuring systems meet operational standards.
The successful candidate will be responsible for collaborating with various stakeholders to facilitate effective testing and analysis of tactical network items and systems.
Due to federal security clearance requirements, applicant must be a United States Citizen or Permanent Resident with an active Secret clearance or ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
Rate : $60 - $70 / hr. w2
Responsibilities
- Test Planning : Prepare and review detailed test plans that include types of tests to be conducted, required facilities, proposed schedules, and estimated project costs.
- Performance Testing : Conduct performance tests and evaluations of tactical network items and systems to validate their functionality and performance.
- Resource Management : Ensure adequate equipment, resources, and personnel are available to perform testing tasks effectively.
- Data Evaluation : Analyze and evaluate technical data, including instrumentation readings, calculations, and deficiency reports, to ensure valid results and identify potential weaknesses or failures.
- Design Analysis : Review design and specification proposals from manufacturers to ascertain compliance with general requirements; make recommendations regarding design feasibility, time, cost estimates, and technical phases.
- Collaboration : Coordinate testing requirements with other engineers, subject matter experts, and PdMs, as well as other organizations to ensure successful testing execution.
