The duties will include mental health / substance abuse assessment, integrated health care screenings, brief solution-focused therapy, referral, and support services. • Master's degree in Social Work from a university accredited by the Council on Social Work Education, and possession of a current Clinical Social Worker license issued by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.
• Familiarity with integrated behavioral health models within a community healthcare system; experience practicing in such a setting preferred.
• Experience in short-term, evidence-based, solution-focused counseling; creation of treatment plans; psychosocial assessment; individual therapy; group therapy; cognitive-behavioral therapy; motivational interviewing; trauma-informed care; and crisis intervention.
• Knowledge of psychiatric, psychosocial, ethical, legal and privacy issues; substance misuse / abuse and chemical dependency assessment and treatment; understanding of current insurance benefits and restrictions in the area of mental health; knowledgeable of DSM-V; and treatment issues concerning adolescents and minors.
• Knowledge and understanding of human behavior and communication, psychotherapy, case management, and the influence of cultural and spiritual values in counseling practiceAdditional Requirements
• Must have a current and valid California driver's license and the ability to provide proof of personal auto insurance on the vehicle driven during working hours.
