What are the responsibilities and job description for the Restorative Care Volunteer position at Elijah Rising?
Role Title: Restorative Care Volunteer (NON-PAID, FEMALE ONLY)
Reports To: House Manager/Volunteer Coordinator
Summary: Join our team as a Restorative Care Volunteer and make a meaningful difference in the lives of women on their journey to recovery and restoration. As a valued member of our program, you will play a vital role in supporting women who have experienced exploitation and trafficking. Your responsibilities could include assisting with transportation, providing emotional support to program participants, engaging in the recovery program activities, facilitating educational classes or bible studies, and actively participating in daily or weekends activities occurring in the Restorative Care Program.
Required Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan and provide all resources necessary for activity planned
- Connect with Restorative Care Director and House Manager to discuss all details for activity planned
- Following ERRC Program guidelines when transporting or interacting with Residents
- Practice Abuse Risk Management Activities.
Qualifications
- Must attend Restorative Care Volunteer Training
- Must clear background check
- Must have all training necessary for approved activity (varies on a case by case basis)
Other Requirements
- Must comply by the Elijah Rising Statement of Faith
- Must have reliable transportation
- Vision requirements include close vision, far-range vision, and the ability to focus
- Hearing requirements include the ability to hear a normal conversation in normal ranges and the ability to be in moderate to loud environments for extended periods of time
- Occasionally required to climb stairs, bend or stoop, kneel or crouch
