We are currently seeking an experienced Accounting Analyst to join our team. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining financial accuracy, ensuring compliance, and optimizing operational efficiency within our organization.
As an Accounting Analyst, you will:
· Performing account reconciliations
· Experience with accounting software and data entry
· Excellent understanding of accounting rules and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
· Ability to work independently
· Examine financial statements to ensure they are accurate and comply with laws and regulations.
· Inspect account books and accounting systems for efficiency and use of accepted accounting procedures.
· Organize and maintain financial records.
· Assess financial operations and recommend best practices, identify issues and strategize solutions, and help organizations run efficiently.
· Conduct audits of branches, departments, or subsidiaries.
· Coordinate with other auditors, accountants, and financial professionals when conducting audits.
· Preparing audit reports and presenting their findings to management
· Strong mathematical and analytical skills
· Proficient in word processing and spreadsheet software
· Excellent oral and written communication skills
· Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
· Strong understanding of federal, state and local tax regulations
· Collecting and analyzing data about a company’s operational costs
· Setting standard costs of manufactured goods
· Developing and analyzing cost standards
· Carrying out cost-volume-profit (CVP) analysis
· Establishing costs of business processes such as administration, labor, shipping, etc
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4-5 years of experience as an internal auditor, control analyst, or accountant in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, record-keeping, and risk management principles.
- Proficiency in accounting software, data entry, and financial analysis.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics.
- Excellent understanding of accounting rules, procedures, and internal control frameworks.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work independently.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
