Director of Culinary Services

Elior North America seeks a highly motivated and experienced professional to fill the role of Assistant Food Service Director.

About the Position

This critical role will play a key part in supporting our K-12 food operations in the Blue Island area by overseeing all culinary, safety, and sanitation aspects of food service operations.

As an Assistant Food Service Director, you will collaborate with the Food Service Director to ensure seamless day-to-day operations, manage staff, and maintain high-quality standards in our restaurants.

Responsibilities:

• Develop menus and nutrition programs that meet the needs of our students, working closely with the Food Service Director and other stakeholders
• Implement quality control measures to ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met, protecting the health and well-being of our students and staff
• Manage inventory, supplies, and labor costs to optimize efficiency and profitability, driving business success and growth
• Maintain accurate records and reports on food service operations, providing valuable insights to inform decision-making and drive improvement

Requirements:

• A strong background in food service management, preferably in a school or similar setting, with experience in menu planning, food safety, and staff supervision
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train staff, building a positive and productive team culture
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify areas for improvement and implement changes, driving continuous improvement and excellence
• A commitment to delivering high-quality food and exceptional customer service, exceeding the expectations of our students and their families
