We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Nurse Manager to oversee operations for our Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) and Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in Alpharetta, GA. As the Nurse Manager, you will have 24-hour accountability for both departments and oversee a team of more than 100 full-time employees (FTEs). Your leadership will directly influence the quality, safety, and culture within the units.
Department Overview:
- IMCU (16 Beds):
Delivers focused, specialized care to adult patients requiring more intensive monitoring than a traditional medical-surgical unit.
- PCU (36 Beds):
Offers continuous hemodynamic monitoring and complex care for patients experiencing cardiac events, respiratory failure, sepsis, and other critical conditions.
These departments operate collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of nurses, physicians, and support staff dedicated to delivering excellent outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide daily leadership, supervision, and strategic direction for IMCU and PCU operations
- Oversee clinical performance, staffing, and service delivery
- Partner with physicians and cross-functional teams to improve patient outcomes
- Manage budgets, staffing levels, quality initiatives, and regulatory compliance
- Cultivate a culture of accountability, compassion, and continuous improvement
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or a related healthcare field
- Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience
- At least two (2) years of leadership or managerial experience
- Strong communication, decision-making, and organizational skills
- Proven ability to lead large teams with independent judgment
