Join our team and be a part of Eliot's new, exciting and cutting edge Community Behavioral Health Center (CBHC) programs! These will be at the forefront of delivering treatment to underserved communities by removing barriers to services and by establishing meaningful and trusting relationships with each individual and family. Our CBHC services include team based care, rapid response and flexible services that will enable us to serve as an entry point for timely, person-centered, mental health and addiction treatment on an urgent and ongoing basis for adults, children and families.

The Advanced Clinician will be responsible to provide treatment and carry more acute/ high need cases on the CBHC team. They will also, provide an experiential learning environment through shadowing new clinical staff, support targeted treatment interventions and therapies and also maintain and submit a competencies/orientation checklist for new clinical staff

Qualifications:

• Must possess a current Massachusetts clinical license including LICSW, LCSW, LMHC, LRC, LADCI, or be a Licensed Psychologist.
• Must have strong clinical skills with at least 2 years of experience working with people with severe and persistent mental illnesses and/or substance use.
• Must demonstrate advocacy, communication skills and planning/facilitating groups.
• Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to and from work and for the transportation of Individuals as needed.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and cultural groups.

Responsibilities:

• Provide side by side therapy and interventions to individuals, youth and families that are evidence based, focus on problem solving, skills training, modeling behavior, optimism and encouragement.
• Provide therapy interventions in the office, virtually, in the community and in client’s residence based on client preference, client need, and at the clinical direction of the Team.
• Ensure that treatment goals are culturally competent, strength-based, realistic, attainable and promote recovery and ensure that each individual is actively involved in their treatment and that the individual is at the center of all care and developed.
• Provide clinical direction and clinical interventions to support the treatment plan process.
• Must be trained and be able to provide targeted treatment to individuals including but not limited to CBT modalities targeting symptoms, DBT, PE, CR, EMDR, FST, TF-CBT, CAMS, family therapies, integrated dual diagnosis treatment, self-management plans, and other clinical interventions.
• Provide an experiential learning environment through shadowing to new clinical staff, support targeted treatment interventions and therapies and also maintaining and submitting a competencies/orientation checklist for new clinical staff.
• Provide groups where appropriate and indicated for individuals in EBPs and in support groups
• Provide treatment, carry more acute/ high need cases on the team.
• Assist with issues pertaining to individual care, medications, psychiatric/medical crises and acuity.
• Provide on call supports on a rotating basis to CBHC clients.
• Comply with all statutes and regulations relevant to the maintenance of clinical standards in the Commonwealth, e.g. mandated reporting, and duty to warn.

Salary: $75,000 annually

Education

• MA or better
• MA or better in MH Counseling or related field
