Eliot’s Permanent Supportive Housing Teams are composed of compassionate and skilled professionals who deliver trauma-informed and strengths-based services to individuals facing significant barriers to obtaining and maintaining stable housing. These barriers often include, but are not limited to, untreated or under-treated mental health conditions such as PTSD, mood disorders, and psychosis; substance use disorders; and chronic medical conditions or complexities.

Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Management
- Co-Lead with the Clinical Lead and supervise a team providing oversight of daily, weekly and monthly needs of staff and clients assigned to the Pod
- Guide staff with support in prioritizing needs within Pod to triage and plan for the team’s day and week
- Provide consistent support during the weekday to field questions and address issues as they emerge– with an ability to step in and support staff in need in the field as necessary
- Conduct regular pod/team meetings, daily huddles and check-ins including the Clinical Lead for support
- Provide weekly 1:1 supervision to complete performance evaluations, address admin issues, safety concerns and provide ongoing feedback (positive, areas for growth and ideas for learning and skill development.) Engage leadership and request consultation as needed.
- Ensure comprehensive onboarding with the support of clinical lead and leadership staff
- Model strong boundaries and following agency expectations
- Stay updated on best practices, trends, and emerging issues in the field of homeless services.
Logistics with other Eliot teams, Community Engagement and Partnerships
- Coordinate with both Eliot-based programs and contacts and outside providers to address and delegate for issues including:
- Medical and Mental Health
- Issues with Insurance
- Housing
- Income
- Food
- Legal coordination with Court Advocate
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local government agencies, non-profit organizations, and community members
- Represent the organization at community meetings, task forces, and coalitions focused on homelessness and housing issues as indicated.
- Work collaboratively to advocate for policies and resources that address the root causes of homelessness.
Data Management and Reporting
- Oversight of pod staff’s entry of notes, development and modification of action plans and comprehensive assessments in eHana
Client Engagement and Support
- Oversight of CSP-HI responsibilities including stabilization and needs for rehousing.
- Support staff in navigating recertification for Masshealth and/or lapsed coverage
- Oversight for client’s recertification for housing and for voucher
- Provide support to staff to complete incident reports and Ehana documentation of safety concerns
- Ensure that consumers are treated with dignity and respect in accordance with ECHS Human Rights Policy.
Model & Maintain Team and Agency Standards
- Complete all work as required in a timely, accurate and professional manner
- Attend staff meetings and training as required
- Obtain and maintain current certifications in CPR, First Aid, and all other required training. Ensure that all certificates are current and provide required documentation to the Agency.
- Remain open to feedback from directors, supervisors, colleagues and supervisees
- Perform other job related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a human services field; social work, psychology, human services, public health or sociology preferred. Must have at least two years of supervisory experience and demonstrate strong supervisory skills.
- Competence in crisis intervention and engagement strategies. Must be able to quickly establish rapport with a wide range of clients behaviors and presentations.
- Especially strong working knowledge of community resources and confidence is how to access them.
- A capacity and willingness to problem-solve more common issues in the field. Effectively identify times when a leadership perspective should be engaged to ensure safety and compliance. Demonstrate sound judgment and effective, solution focused problem solving skills.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to and from work strongly preferred.
- Must be proficient in English and possess and convey effective verbal and written communication skills with clients, staff and service providers.
- Ability to develop and maintain professional working relationships with clients, staff, co-workers and supervisor.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with diverse populations.
