Responsibilities:
- Provide side by side interventions to Persons that focus on problem solving, skills training, modeling behavior, optimism and encouragement.
- Assist the team and Persons in providing on-going assessment of symptoms and responses to staff interventions.
- Participate in the development treatment plans and ensure that the Person is at the center of the process and that the interventions are clinically based.
- Support Persons in their desire for recovery and rehabilitation in the development of their goals. 3. Provide specific interventions and supports to specialty population within the IGLE.
- Ensure the safety of the specialty population and the community by adhering to monitoring plans to support Persons.
- Administer and monitor Person medications in accordance with agency, DMH and DPH regulations, policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in either Psychology or Social Work or a related field
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable vehicle
- Ideally 2-3 years prior experience working with adults having severe and persistent mental illness
