Responsibilities:
- Direct/manage Stabilization Specialist and Clinicians in providing Community Crisis Stabilization(CCS) interventions and services.
- Hire/train all staff within the CCS program, conduct performance evaluation, work assignments and problem resolution.
- Collaborate with the Director of CCS Nursing on the daily operation of services delivered to clients in the CCS program.
- Manage and direct daily clinical interventions, assessments and stabilization services for the CCS program.
- Develop and implement clinical practices in accordance with Eliot CBHC’s vision for evidence-based treatment including targeted treatment and daily groups.
- Develop and manage systems that utilize Eliot and other provider’s clinical assessments as means to continue diagnostic assessments, testing, and efforts to ensure client stabilization.
- Develop and provide oversight of the implementation of stabilization plans for clients/families in crisis to ensure follow up supports and services.
- Participate in contract development; compliance with budget plan for expenditures and revenue.
- Develop systems to monitor utilization and billing to match services with available revenue streams.
- Develop and implement systems to ensure warm handoffs between staff providing short term stabilization, staff providing urgent care services and CBHC Teams.
- Develop systems that ensure the provision of urgent and immediate access to psychopharmacological services, medication assisted treatment, and immediate therapies.
- Direct and manage staff members in completing NOMS assessments as assigned and manage NOMS assignments, assessments, and documentation required for CBHC.
- Create and promote a team atmosphere where staff work collaboratively and seek assistance when needed.
- Provide and direct crisis intervention, triage, counseling and referral in a professional, sensitive manner, with a commitment to client/family satisfaction.
- As part of evaluations, treatment planning, and interventions, utilize evidence-based practices that focus on stabilization, engagement in treatment, motivational interviewing, and connecting to services within the community.
- Participate in evidence-based trainings including but not limited to Zero Suicide, CBT modalities targeting symptoms, DBT, PE, CR, EMDR, FST, TF-CBT, CAMS, family therapies, integrated dual diagnosis treatment, self-management plans, and other clinical interventions.
- Supervise and provide short term intervention that are evidence based, short term groups, and recovery focused planning.
- Provide crisis evaluations and short-term treatment as needed.
- Maintain awareness of the overall condition of the facility and report potential safety/repair issues to the Director or on-call administrator as appropriate.
- Supervise staff in providing short term evidence-based treatments to stabilize crisis situations including beginning the process of trauma treatment, providing immediate treatment of psychiatric illness, substance dependency, family therapy, and diagnostic assessment.
- Supervise and manage staff in the development of short-term treatment plans including safety planning and crisis planning.
- Ensure the development and implementation of goal oriented short term treatment plans for all clients in the program, within 24 hours of admission.
- Coordinate and initiate collateral contacts with family/caregivers and all community providers for each client admitted to the program. Schedule Team Meetings to review treatment and discuss discharge planning.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with community agencies to assure a seamless and efficient interface of services.
- Participate in daily multi-disciplinary rounds and lead the clinical presentation.
- Complete all required admission and discharge documentation and files in the medical record.
Qualifications:
- Must be independently licensed e.g.: LICSW, LMHC, LMFT, RN, LRC. Master’s Degree in behavioral health care field
- 2 years of experience in a multi-disciplinary behavioral health setting; of which 1 years must include the provision of emergency, inpatient and/or diversionary behavioral health services and 2 years supervisory experience.
- Excellent diagnostic skills; competence in crisis intervention and engagement strategies.
- Must be able to quickly establish rapport with wide range of clinical presentations.
- Knowledge of the vast array of community resources and how to access them.
- Understanding of public and private health insurance plans.
Schedule: Full time, Monday - Friday
Compensation: Salary based on experience.
