Flag Football Referee

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Referee to officiate Flag Football games for our local adult flag football league this summer at Fall Creek Sports Complex. The Elite 8 Flag Football League are seeking ideal candidates will possess a strong understanding of the game, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage conflicts effectively. This role is crucial in ensuring fair play and maintaining a positive environment for all participants.

Responsibilities

• Officiate E8FFL games, ensuring adherence to the rules and regulations of the sport.
• Communicate clearly with players, coaches, and spectators regarding calls made during the game.
• Manage conflicts on the field, addressing any disputes or issues that arise in a calm and professional manner.
• Maintain a safe playing environment by enforcing safety protocols and addressing any unsafe behaviors.
• Provide guidance and support, fostering sportsmanship and teamwork.
• Collaborate with coaches and league officials to ensure smooth game operations.

Experience

• Previous experience in officiating flag football games is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
• Background in sports is highly desirable.
• Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain composed under pressure.
• Experience working or playing sports setting is an asset.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal, to effectively convey rules and decisions during games.

Referees are paid $35 per game with a total of 8 games every Saturday. Referee uniform, rulebook and supplies are provided. Games will be from 4pm to 9pm starting May 31st with the Elite 8 Bowl occurring August 2nd.
