Job Description

Elite Business Resources is seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Industrial Electrician to join our maintenance team at our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, machinery, and equipment to ensure that our operations run smoothly and efficiently. The Industrial Electrician will play a crucial role in troubleshooting electrical issues, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring compliance with all safety and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including motors, control panels, and circuit boards within the manufacturing facility.
Troubleshoot electrical problems and malfunctions in machinery and equipment, ensuring minimal downtime.
Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems to reduce the risk of breakdowns and ensure optimal operation.
Ensure all electrical work complies with local, state, and federal electrical codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
Collaborate with production teams to identify electrical issues affecting machinery and equipment performance.
Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics to perform installation and repair tasks.
Test electrical systems and components using various tools and instruments to ensure functionality and safety.
Maintain accurate records of all electrical maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs performed.
Assist in the installation and configuration of new machinery, ensuring electrical connections and systems are properly set up.
Perform other duties as assigned to support overall facility operations and maintenance needs.

Qualifications

Education and Experience :

High school diploma or equivalent required; an Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is preferred.

Minimum of 3 years of experience as an industrial electrician in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Certification as an Electrician and knowledge of local electrical codes and regulations.

Experience with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and automated machinery is a plus.

Skills and Competencies :

Strong knowledge of electrical systems, circuitry, and wiring.

Proficiency in using electrical testing tools and diagnostic equipment (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes).

Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair complex electrical systems.

Familiarity with industrial electrical systems, including motors, HVAC, and control panels.

Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail.

Knowledge of safety protocols and lockout / tagout procedures.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Physical Requirements :

Ability to lift and move heavy equipment, work in confined spaces, and stand for extended periods.

Ability to work in varying temperatures, with exposure to machinery, noise, and electrical hazards.

Willingness to work occasional overtime, including nights and weekends, if required.
