We are seeking a Kitchen Department Worker for a food production facility in Coushatta to assist with daily operations in a fast-paced environment. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to food safety standards, and the ability to work efficiently as part of a team.
Responsibilities Include:
- Assisting with kitchen tasks and ingredient preparation
- Setting up cooking equipment and performing pre-op cleaning
- Following precise recipes and instructions from management
- Maintaining cleanliness of the kitchen area throughout the day
- Properly staging ingredients for upcoming production runs
- Following strict food safety protocols and sanitation requirements
- Reporting inventory shortages and any safety concerns
- Prior experience in an industrial/commercial kitchen preferred
- Ability to learn and follow food safety programs (GMP, SSOP, HACCP)
- Strong teamwork skills and ability to adapt to assigned duties
- Monday-Friday schedule, with occasional Saturday work if needed
- Shift starts at 5:30 AM and typically ends by 3:00 PM
- Must pass all required food safety tests
- Work in humid, warm, cold, and wet conditions
