Duties
- Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication management.
- Implement individualized care plans tailored to each person's needs and preferences.
- Monitor and document the progress of clients, ensuring that their health and safety are prioritized.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in recreational activities to promote social interaction.
- Support clients in developing life skills that foster independence, such as budgeting, cooking, and personal hygiene.
- Maintain confidentiality of client information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and other caregivers to ensure comprehensive support.
- Respond appropriately to emergencies and provide first aid as needed.
Requirements
- Experience in senior care or working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred but not required.
- Previous experience in a group home setting is a plus.
- Knowledge of patient monitoring techniques is beneficial.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional nursing qualifications are a plus. We will provide training if hired on.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
