The Residential Inside Estimator will be experienced and detail-oriented to join our exterior construction team. This role will be responsible for accurately estimating costs and quantities for residential exterior remodeling projects.
Key Responsibilities:

Review project plans, specifications, job notes, photos, and scope of work provided by sales representatives or clients. -
Conduct thorough takeoffs, measuring quantities of materials required for each project, specializing in flat, metal, and commercial roofing but also including siding, roofing, windows, doors, and other exterior components. -
Utilize estimating software and databases to calculate material costs, labor costs, and other project expenses. -
Maintain updated knowledge of current material and labor costs -
Collaborate with project managers, suppliers, and subcontractors to gather information and clarify project details as needed. -
Prepare detailed cost estimates and proposals for residential exterior projects, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness. -
Assist in the bid process by providing estimates and supporting documentation as required. -
Maintain organized records of estimates, proposals, and project files. -
Continuously seek ways to improve estimating processes and accuracy -

Requirements:
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in construction management, or a related field is preferred. -
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in residential construction estimating, specifically for exterior projects. -
Proficient in estimating software and spreadsheet applications (e.g., Excel, estimating databases). -
Strong mathematical aptitude and attention to detail. -
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. -
Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications. -
Familiarity with local building codes, regulations, and construction practices. -
Strong organizational and time management skills. -
Ability to work independently and as part of a team. -
Bilingual in English/Spanish desired
