Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Construction Superintendent to oversee and manage all aspects of construction projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in project management, quality control, budgeting, and contract management.

Position Summary:

The Construction Superintendent will hold a supervisory role for the on-site day to day operations of the project. The Superintendent is responsible for field coordination of every aspect of the project and holds the keys to scheduling, making sure each trade is on schedule and on budget. The Superintendent works hand in glove with the Project Manager and Project Engineer to keep the project rolling as smoothly as possible.

Duties:

- Manage and supervise construction projects from beginning to end

- Ensure projects are completed within budget and on schedule

- Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers

- Implement and maintain quality control procedures

- Review and interpret construction drawings and schematics

- Monitor compliance with building codes, safety standards, and OSHA regulations

- Utilize construction software such as Sage Construction, Bluebeam, HeavyBid for project management

Qualifications:

- Prefer 4 years of experience with new build multifamily construction

- Degree in Construction Management or related field preferred

- Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent or similar role

- Strong knowledge of construction processes, procedures, and best practices

- Excellent communication and leadership skills

- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

- Familiarity with budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation

- OSHA certification is required

Performance Objectives:

• Professionally represents ELITE Construction as the primary interface with Clients, Subcontractors, Architects, and Engineers and manages/maintains relationships with clients.
• Manages and coordinates daily construction operations.
• Manages operations to complete projects in accordance with design, budget, and schedule.
• Prepares reports for ELITE Team regarding status of projects.
• Adheres to company policies and procedures.
• Run weekly safety meetings with all trades.
• Take overall site management and team leadership.
• Responsibility for supervising all on-site trades and personnel.
• Communication of the ongoing evolution of the project, milestones, and reports.
• Communication with Project Mangers regarding construction activities.
• Work with Project Engineer to ensure submittals and clarification answers are kept current.
• Site Management & Coordination.
• Creation of daily reports and pictorial documenting progress and issues.

Capabilities/ Key Competencies:

• Proven working experience in construction Superintendent role.
• Thorough knowledge of interior and exterior renovations, and ground-up construction from pre-construction through completion on projects.
• In depth understanding of construction plans, MEPs, take offs, and blueprints.
• Strong working knowledge of Sage Construction, PlanSwift and Microsoft Office.
• Skillset of Construction Management, Estimating, Planning, Reporting, and Communication with Team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Efficient organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills.
• Familiar with a variety of construction concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Ability to lead and direct the work of subcontractor on the project team.
• Must have experience developing, managing, and forecasting a budget for projects.
• Ability to maintain schedule and timeliness of the project from pre-construction through close-out.
• Strong conflict management and resolution - foreseeing possible areas of conflict in advance and resolving conflict quickly and efficiently.
• Experience running multiple construction projects and project teams while developing assistant superintendents into future leaders.
• Effectively communicate, organize, plan and execute project plans.
• Have 3 positive and supportive client references for whom you have worked for in the past 5 years.
• Have previously held leadership positions in your professional, personal, or civic roles.
• Flexibility to travel to multiple job sites across Texas and surrounding states as necessary.

Education & Experience:

• 2 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent in commercial and multifamily construction industry, Bachelor's degree preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods on construction site, including physically carrying job materials on occasion.
• This position will sometimes require travel – up to 25%
