Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role involves performing a variety of cleaning tasks, including floor care, buffing, and custodial duties in both commercial and industrial settings. This job is at a Lowe's store but you are not employed by Lowe's. Shift is 7 days a week, 3 hours a day and pay is $44 a shift. Schedule could possibly be split between 2 people.
Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting to maintain cleanliness in assigned areas.
- Conduct floor care activities include running a floor scrubber daily.
- Manage waste disposal and recycling efforts to promote environmental sustainability.
- Assist with industrial cleaning tasks as required, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
- Support facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs or maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel.
- Provide porter services as needed, including moving furniture or equipment for events or cleaning purposes.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring they are stored properly and replenished as needed.
- Uphold high standards of cleanliness in both commercial and residential settings.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in custodial or janitorial roles is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of industrial cleaning methods and materials is a plus.
- Familiarity with floor care techniques such as buffing and waxing is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Good physical stamina; ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual labor for extended periods.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently.
