This Regional Director of Patient Success role will be instrumental in launching and scaling operations in Virginia as we expand rapidly across the state.

Position Summary:

The Regional Director of Patient Success is a high-impact leadership role responsible for overseeing the success of five or more outpatient behavioral health clinics within a designated region. This individual will lead and develop a team of Area Managers and Office Managers while partnering closely with clinical leadership to drive financial performance, operational efficiency, and exceptional patient care.

This role is instrumental in setting and executing the revenue strategy for the region, planning strategic hires, analyzing performance metrics, and fostering a culture of excellence and leadership development. The Regional Director of Patient Success ensures alignment between front-line operations and broader organizational goals.


Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Oversight

  • Directly manage Area Manager and/or Office Managers, indirectly front office staff, and administrative support roles.
  • Ensure successful day-to-day operations and long-term strategic planning for each clinic in the region.
  • Serve as a key liaison between executive leadership and clinic operations.

Revenue & Performance Strategy

  • Define and implement the revenue strategy for the region, optimizing clinical and operational resources.
  • Monitor and manage financial performance including contribution margins, provider productivity, and clinic utilization.
  • Regularly report on regional KPIs and identify opportunities for growth and operational efficiency.

Talent Strategy & Workforce Planning

  • Lead regional workforce planning and strategic hiring of providers (psychiatry and therapy) and staff (front desk, MAs, Office Managers, Area Managers).
  • Identify, attract, and retain top talent while fostering a strong leadership pipeline and succession planning strategy.
  • Develop and mentor high-potential team members with a focus on autonomy and upward mobility.

Operational Excellence

  • Oversee implementation of operational best practices across all locations to maximize revenue, increase efficiency, and enhance patient outcomes.
  • Ensure consistency and high-quality service delivery across clinics.
  • Collaborate with clinical leaders to create a supportive environment for provider success.

Travel Expectations

  • Maintain an in-office presence in the designated "home" location 2-4 days per week.
  • Travel to nearby offices (30-60 minutes) weekly, mid-range offices (2 hours) bi-weekly, and distant locations requiring 3 hours or flights monthly or bi-monthly.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years in a multi-site leadership role at the Director level or higher, preferably in healthcare or behavioral health.
  • Demonstrated success managing leaders of leaders (Area Managers, Office Managers).
  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and forecast trends.
  • High emotional intelligence (EQ) and the ability to navigate relationships with clinical providers and executive stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to develop talent, lead changes, and drive results in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present complex information clearly.
  • Bachelor’s degree required, education in healthcare administration, business, or related field preferred.
