JOB SUMMARY:
Maintenance Technician – Lightweight will perform upkeep tasks such as repairs and cleaning on equipment and building facilities and to ensure both are clean and functional.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Maintenance Technician – Lightweight will be dependable with a keen eye for detail with maintenance experience and solid technical knowledge. Technicians must also possess manual dexterity and physical stamina.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Perform cleaning activities such as dusting, mopping, etc.
- Perform minor repairs such as a broken lock or filling gaps on walls, etc.
- Check control panels and electrical wiring to identify issues.
- Install appliances and equipment.
- Snow removal
- Perform garden/yard work such as weed and trash control.
- Perform maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs.
- Inspect and trouble shoot equipment and systems such as ventilation.
- Check the functionality of safety systems such as fire alarms.
- Collaborate with workers and other professionals during renovations.
- Report issues to Maintenance Team Lead.
- Work irregular hours and overtime when requires.
REQUIRED SKILLS / ABILITIES
The Maintenance Technician is expected to work with minimal supervision and a customer centered focus and initiative to proactively address issues which may affect Safety, Quality, Efficiency and Productivity to prevent personal injury, property damage, increased cost or loss of revenue.
- Regularly able to work a 12-hour shift standing/walking.
- Regularly able to climb ladders repetitively.
- Regularly able to bend, crouch, twist, pull.
- Regularly able to lift/carry 80 pds.
- Regularly able to work at a desk for short periods of time.
- Regularly able to work in all types of weather.
