What are the responsibilities and job description for the User Experience Engineer with Security Clearance position at Elite Government Strategy?
EGS is seeking a User Experience Engineer to serve as the primary administrator for all servers to include application, file and printer server Operating Systems as well as Active Directory which includes Microsoft Windows Server infrastructure and virtualized environments (both server and desktop).
- Responsible for administration of Microsoft Servers listed on the SSR, Active Directory, file and print services to include account maintenance of OIG forest
- Coordinates all maintenance activities including testing and scheduling for maintenance weekends including ensuring that all change records have been approved prior to maintenance events
- Develops mitigation strategies when vulnerabilities cannot be remediated
- Coordinates with IT security for review and acts on any directed changes
- Develops and submits change requests and tracks to completion for software upgrades and patches.
- Develops technical architecture documentation that details procedures for installation, maintenance, security, configuration, and disaster recovery
- Recommends enterprise upgrades, changes, or enhancements
- Responds to events and incidents with possible security architecture or negative user experience impacts; takes necessary corrective actions promptly Required Skills
- Candidate will possess at least 3 years of specialized IT experience in Windows-focused administration to include Active Directory services, Endpoint Management and file and print services
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a technical field such as Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related fields or equivalent demonstrated experience
- Knowledge of and experience administering Microsoft Windows environment including information security principles, concepts, practices, systems software, database software, and immediate access storage technology to carry out activities relating to security certification and accreditation
- Ability to provide expert technical advice, guidance, and recommendations to management and other technical specialists on critical Windows and software updates and vulnerability issues
- Ability to assess risk factors and vulnerabilities to recommend mitigation strategies
- Ability to ensure coordination and / or collaboration on upgrade activities
- Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing with management and other technical specialists
- Ability to plan, organize and manage tasks on time with minimal supervision
- Implementing and administering a Microsoft Windows Directory Services Infrastructure
- Designing Security for a Microsoft Windows Network
- Must possess ability to successfully implement hardening of the server infrastructure in appropriate server roles
- Designing and implementing a Microsoft Windows Network Infrastructure
- In-depth knowledge of Active Directory and LDAP technologies on Windows
- Experience with server monitoring tools
- Thorough understanding of Active Directory DC design, Schema, OU design, AD replication topology, and DC backup / restore procedures
- Excellent working knowledge of DNS, GPO's, Message tracking and performance Desired Skills
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a technical field such as Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related fields
- MCSE certification
- Microsoft Endpoint Management / Intune
- Experience with Microsoft Applications to include the following : Autopilot, Defender Office 365 and licensing in an enterprise environment
