The Qualified Professional is responsible for upholding Elite Group Services’ mission, vision and values by providing support, services, education and compassion to the individuals receiving services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review assigned client’s service/progress notes within a timely manner
- Review all verification/documentation of services for appropriate signatures and documentation per the NC DHHS Records Management and Documentation Manual
- Ensure assigned direct care staff records are current
- Ensure assigned service recipient clinical records are current
- Conduct and document clinical and employee supervisory visits to ensure Medicaid and Elite’s Policies/Procedures are followed
- Conduct annual performance evaluations, direct care staff development plans, disciplinary meetings/documentation with direct care staff
- Participate in required staff meetings
- Participate and advocate for all clients
- Develop individualized short-term goals, task analysis and interventions for assigned clients
- Supervise Peer Support Specialists
- Ensure peer support specialists turn in required documents on time
- Conduct SAIOP Groups
- Conduct SACOT Groups
- Complete client’s annual skills and preference assessments
- Review weekly billing to ensure hours are used or complete deviation of service forms
- Complete quarterly progress reports
- Review and update task analysis per clients’ goal frequency
- Resolve and document client/guardian grievances and report to Supervisor
- Complete significant event and incident reports within 24 hours (recipient and employee/contractor)
- Assist the recipient and families with finding and procuring appropriate resources and services in the community
- General Responsibilities:
- Provide privacy and confidentiality of all participants’ records.
- Assure participants are free from abuse, mistreatment, and/or neglect and report any incidents of such to supervisor.
- Treat each participant with dignity and respect.
- Provide a positive atmosphere which facilitates growth and learning of coping skills.
Skills/Experience/Qualifications:

- Attention to accuracy and detail in all aspects of responsibilities.

- Be hands-on, proactive, results oriented, and engaged to fulfill all requirements as outlined in the above section.
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written); professional and presents well when interacting with client and Family Members

- Thorough understanding of consumer charting, taking data, documenting in the client’s record
- Understanding of requirements of Medicaid/State Funded billing requirements

Credentialing:
Must be Credentialed as a Qualified Professional with either:
- Graduate of a college/university with a Master’s degree in a related human service field
- Graduate of a college/university with a baccalaureate degree in a related human service field
- Graduate of a college/university with a baccalaureate degree in an unrelated human service field
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field, such as social work, psychology, counseling, or a relevant behavioral health discipline.
- Certification or licensure as a Substance Abuse Counselor in accordance with state regulations (e.g., LCAS, LADC, or equivalent).
- Knowledge of substance abuse treatment modalities, evidence-based practices, and the recovery process.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
- Crisis intervention skills and the ability to handle emotionally charged situations.
- Empathy, patience, and a non-judgmental approach to clients.
- Proficiency in maintaining accurate and confidential documentation.
- Understanding of ethical and legal guidelines related to addiction counseling.

- At least 18 years of age
- Valid Driver License
- Safe Driving Record
- Criminal, NC Health Care Registry Check and Sexual Offender Background checks clear of health and safety risks
- Reliable and safe transportation
- Current Auto Insurance and Car Registration
