DELIVERY DRIVER:

Delivery Helper

Overview:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Delivery Helper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in driving a box truck or similar vehicle and be able to navigate through busy streets. The role requires a strong focus on customer service and the ability to lift and move heavy packages. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely delivery of goods to customers.

• Loading and unloading: Assisting with loading and unloading items from the vehicle
• Securing items: Ensuring that items are properly secured and organized for transport
• Navigating: Helping the driver navigate to various locations using GPS or maps
• Communicating: Communicating effectively with the driver and customers
• Maintenance: Performing routine vehicle maintenance tasks, such as checking oil and tire pressure
• Safety: Adhering to all safety regulations and company policies
• Delivering orders: Delivering orders for clients or customers
• Inspecting: Inspecting packages and merchandise
• Paperwork: Doing delivery paperwork
• Payments: Collecting payments
• Customer service: Maintaining professionalism and high customer service standards

Duties:

- Load and unload packages from the truck, often in a warehouse or loading dock setting.
- Operate a forklift or other heavy equipment to move goods around the warehouse or loading dock.
- Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise.
- Maintain a clean and organized delivery truck and warehouse area.
- Perform other duties as required to ensure the smooth operation of the delivery service.

Skills:

- Commercial driving experience with a box truck or similar vehicle.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations, including loading and unloading.
- Ability to lift and move heavy packages.
- Experience in a courier or delivery service.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Familiarity with moving and handling heavy objects.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks at once.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor tasks.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $150.00 per day
