- This is generally an office position, so obviously, the right person should have a diverse set of computer skills and be comfortable providing customer service and selling cool plants on either the phone, via email, or even over fax (yikes).
- This is not always an office position, so you’ll also need to be able to walk around a production nursery, occasionally pick up plants,
- This position involves everything from order entry and fulfillment to inventory management which means you’ll need a high level of organization, outstanding problem-solving skills, and the ability to juggle a bunch of tasks at the same time.

Duties
- Knowledge of perennials plants is highly favored for this position.
- Respond promptly and effectively to customer inquiries via phone, email, or chat.
- Provide accurate information regarding perennials or substitutions to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Maintain detailed records of customer interactions and transactions through data entry.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and securely when required.
- Collaborate with team members to improve processes and enhance the overall customer experience.
- Utilize computer systems efficiently to manage customer accounts and support requests.
- Participate in training sessions to stay updated on plant knowledge.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in client services or customer support is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly and concisely.
- Experience with data entry tasks, ensuring accuracy in all records maintained.
- Familiarity with cash handling procedures is a plus.
- Must be able to multi-task.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and the ability to work well under pressure are essential traits for success in this role.
