Position Summary
The Medical Assistant will assist the doctor and nurses with various healthcare services following established policies and protocols. The Medical Assistant should be prepared to provide clerical and clinical support in the clinic.

Responsibilities
Demonstrate professionalism at all times.
Greets, receives, and prepares patients for appointments
Demonstrate a working knowledge of the policies and procedures of a medical office / Clinic.
Have an understanding of medical diagnosis and medical charts
Operating hyperbaric chamber / monitoring patient
Recording and updating medical histories of patients
Maintains inventory of medical supplies and materials
Scheduling patients appointments
Performing standard care procedures such as checking vitals
Clean and maintain all equipment according to infection control standards.
Answering telephone inquiries from referring providers and patients
Restock supplies in exam rooms
Explain treatment procedures to patients.
Assisting Physician / Nurse during exams.
Coordinates patient flow
Participates in quality improvement and utilization review activities.
Ensures compliance with legal issues including but not limited to patient confidentiality and risk management.
Adjusts to fluctuating peaks in patient flow, acuity, and other operational demands while maintaining quality.
Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
Minimum Requirements
Associates degree
1-2 years experience working in the healthcare field
Knowledge of medical terminology
Charting / documentation skills
Preferred Qualifications
Medical assistant certification
2 years experience working in the healthcare field
Hyperbaric tech experience
CPR certification
Able to work collaboratively with multiple health professionals in a busy and complex environment
