Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
- Monitor and record vital signs to ensure the well-being of clients.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning according to dietary needs.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful conversations and activities.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping tasks.
- Assist with medication reminders and ensure adherence to prescribed health regimens.
- Support clients with memory care techniques for those experiencing cognitive challenges.
- Lift and transfer clients safely as needed while following proper techniques to prevent injury.
Experience
- Previous experience in home community care or senior care is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with patient care practices, including knowledge of vital signs monitoring.
- Skills in meal preparation and cooking are highly valued.
- A compassionate demeanor with a strong desire to help others is essential.
- Ability to clean and maintain a tidy living space for clients is necessary.
- Experience in memory care or working with individuals with cognitive impairments is a plus.
