What are the responsibilities and job description for the Weekend Afterhours End of Life Care RN position at Elite Hospice?
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our After-Hours Hospice team as an After-Hours Hospice RN. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to develop your clinical skills, build strong relationships with patients and their families, and contribute to a supportive and collaborative team environment.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and have a strong commitment to providing compassionate care.
About the Role
This is a full-time after-hours, weekend, on-call position. The days and work hours are Friday starting at 4:30pm through Monday at 8:00am.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive and timely delivery of hospice care for patients and their families after regular business hours.
- Triagess patient needs over the phone until a nurse can provide an in-person visit.
- Responds appropriately and with urgency to crisis calls from patients and families after hours.
- Makes the initial nursing evaluation in determining eligibility for hospice services.
