What are the responsibilities and job description for the SECURITY OFFICER - PART TIME - BERGEN TOWN CENTER MALL position at ELITE INVESTIGATIONS LTD?

Elite provides unarmed and armed security officers, loss prevention specialists, special event officers, undercover operatives, private investigators, flaggers, and a host of security and risk management services. We currently have part time Security Officer positions available at the Bergen Town Center Mall in Paramus. 2 positions available as follows:
1) Wednesday, Saturday & Sunday: 7am - 3:30pm (24 Hours)
2) Monday, Thursday & Friday: 3pm - 11:30pm (24 Hours)
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Secure property and personnel by effective patrol techniques; monitoring cameras, inspecting property, buildings and equipment.
- Stays calm and collected during stressful times and interacts with others to de-escalate aggressive behavior.
- Immediately notifies management and authorities of emergencies and adheres to the chain of command.
- Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities, informing violators of policy and procedures.
- Directs pedestrians and motorists in an orderly fashion to control traffic.
- Completes reports by recording observations in a timely and precise manner.
- Maintains environment by monitoring and setting building and equipment controls.
- Maintains organization’s stability and reputation by complying with policies.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing responsibilities in a professional approach to achieve exceptional results.
Requirements are as follows:
- Must possess a VALID DRIVERS LICENSE in good standing.
- Must possess a valid SORA license.
- Conduct foot and vehicle patrols in designated areas
- Must have the ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public
- Must have the ability to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors
- Respond to alarms and security-related incidents and notify management and or emergency services
