We are excited to announce an opening for an enthusiastic and friendly greeter to join our dynamic team at a vibrant art gallery situated in the heart of Manhattan, NY. As the first point of contact for our visitors, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming and inviting atmosphere right from the moment they enter our space.
In this position, your primary responsibilities will include warmly welcoming guests at the front entrance, providing them with essential information about our current exhibitions and events, and ensuring they feel comfortable and at ease during their visit. A key part of your role will be to engage with our guests, fostering a genuine connection and sharing our shared passion for art in a way that enhances their experience.
Ideal candidates for this position should have at least one year of customer service experience, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills that allow for effective communication and genuine interactions with a diverse audience. The ability to convey enthusiasm and knowledge about art is essential, as you will have the opportunity to explain various artworks and exhibitions to visitors.
Please note that this position requires the ability to stand for the entirety of your shift, as you will be actively welcoming visitors and monitoring the entrance area.
