Job Overview:
The Human Resources Manager will serve as a trusted business partner to senior leadership, supporting HR strategies and initiatives that enhance organizational effectiveness. The HR Manager will be responsible for managing core HR operations, employee relations, compliance, and recruitment, as well as overseeing the day-to-day functionality of the company’s worksite facilities.

This role requires a dynamic, proactive HR professional who has experience in operational HR management, employee relations, payroll processing, and recruitment. The HR Manager will work closely with Director of HR to ensure the successful execution of HR initiatives that align with the company’s goals.


Specific Responsibilities:

  • HR Operations: Ensure timely and effective delivery of core day-to-day HR operations, including payroll processing, benefits administration, and compliance with employment laws.
  • Payroll Processing: Own the full payroll cycle, ensuring accurate and timely payroll submission, post-processing reporting, and integration with ancillary services such as 401k, health benefits, and COBRA administration.
  • Policy & Procedure Consistency: Partner with HR Director, HR colleagues and organizational leaders to ensure company policies, procedures, and best practices are applied consistently across the business.
  • Compliance: Ensure company compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of legal changes and regulatory updates.
  • Employee Relations: Handle employee relations matters, investigating and addressing employee concerns, and partnering with leadership to resolve issues effectively.
  • Recruitment & Talent Acquisition: Oversee the recruitment process, including sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, and working with hiring managers to select the best candidates for open positions.
  • Employee Records Management: Maintain accurate, confidential employee records in compliance with legal regulations and organizational standards.
  • Reporting & Analytics: Conduct research, analyze HR data, and prepare reports to support HR initiatives and decision-making.
  • Special Projects: Lead or contribute to special projects as assigned, such as employee programs, process improvements, or HR systems implementations.
  • Facility Oversight: Manage all aspects of the worksite facility, ensuring it remains functional, safe, and compliant with company policies and regulations.
  • Professional Development: Maintain knowledge of best HR practices, attend relevant HR training, and stay current with the latest trends and regulations in human resources.
Requirements:


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
  • Experience: 5-10 years of experience in HR management, including hands-on experience in payroll, benefits administration, employee relations, and recruitment.
  • Knowledge of HR Practices: Comprehensive understanding of HR practices, labor laws, pay and benefits, health and safety regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Employee Relations: Experience handling employee relations issues and investigations with the ability to resolve conflicts and improve employee engagement.
  • Recruitment Expertise: Strong background in full-cycle recruitment, from sourcing to onboarding, with an emphasis on finding top talent for diverse roles.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to gather and analyze data, identify trends, and make recommendations to improve HR operations and organizational effectiveness.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and handle competing demands.
  • Confidentiality: Ability to handle sensitive employee information with the highest level of confidentiality and discretion.
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in HR software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, Paylocity) and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze complex HR issues, identify solutions, and make informed decisions.
  • Startup Experience: Experience working in a startup or rapidly growing business environment is a plus.
  • Work Environment: Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
