Janitorial Worker

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all occupants. This role requires attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness.

Duties

• Perform custodial duties including cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining restrooms, offices, and common areas.
• Conduct floor care activities such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and waxing to ensure floors are clean and presentable.
• Execute industrial cleaning tasks as needed, including the use of specialized equipment for deep cleaning.
• Assist with residential painting projects when required to maintain the aesthetic quality of facilities.
• Serve as a porter by managing waste disposal and ensuring all areas are free of debris.
• Carry out routine inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards.
• Collaborate with the facilities maintenance team to address any issues that arise promptly.

Requirements

• Proven experience in custodial or commercial cleaning roles is preferred.
• Familiarity with floor care techniques and equipment is essential.
• Knowledge of industrial cleaning practices is a plus.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and maintenance tasks is highly valued.

Pay: From $17.63 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 3 per week
