Elite lighting is looking for an experienced Order Entry Clerk who has the ability and desire to function as part of a team. The Order Entry Clerk must have strong communication skills, a positive attitude, be prepared to multitask, and adapt well to change.
Summary:
The Order Entry Clerk ensures that all orders received from customers are processed within the same day with no errors. Their aim is to provide an accurate interpretation of each customer’s purchase order, ensuring that details such as ship-to address, product description, purchase order number, sales representative, and other information is accurately entered.
Responsibilities included, but not limited to:
- Process all purchase orders received within a 2-hour time frame.
- Maintain good attendance and reports for work on all work days to ensure the department has the maximum support needed.
- Comply with all company-mandated policies and procedures.
- Address any purchase order discrepancies with the order entry manager, ensuring that POs do not sit unaddressed for more than 24 hours to obtain a response or plan-of-action.
- Interact with employees of other departments in a professional and respectful manner. Position requires a high level of interaction with the Shipping, Assembly, Customer Service, and Accounts Receivable Departments.
- Additional duties as defined by upper management and assistance as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school degree and completed some college courses. (Preferred)
- Minimum 3 years' previous experience in order entry.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and internet.
- Knowledge of the basics of a purchase order.
- Knowledge of warehousing principles
- Word processing, Must Type A Minimum 45 WPM
- Simple accounting knowledge
