The Rental & Transportation Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that equipment purchased is delivered on time.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Work with customers to sell and facilitate rental equipment agreements.
- Negotiate work orders, maximize the rate and volume, and obtain full details from the customer.
- Check customers’ accounts or obtain credit applications from new customers.
- Responsible for efficient and profitable operation of the Rental Department.
- Make equipment allocation/acquisition recommendations to the President and Asset Manager with respect to the best interest of the department.
- Finalizing details about when, where, and what equipment is required.
- Checking availability of equipment with shop.
- Suggesting equipment and attachments/accessories to meet customer needs.
- Inputting rental contracts and accurately documenting details of rental reservation in computer system.
- Performing amendments, suspensions (ensuring prompt collection of equipment), and terminations (ensuring all ancillary charges are made).
- Assist in customer resolution for invoice issues, credits, and past due receivables.
- Reviewing Department P&L Statements.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

- Management observation regarding attitude, diligence, team contributions, and willingness & ability to learn new skills and information.
- Other key metrics prescribed by Miner Corp leadership, resulting in positive customer and Company impact.
Requirements
- Experience in the rental industry, minimum 2 years preferred.
- Mechanical or technical background is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. Able to communicate effectively with management and customers – both internal and external.
- Must have extensive knowledge of the Houston Metro area.
- Professionalism in an office environment as well as on the phone.
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced, technology driven, service environment.
- Proven organizational and planning skills.
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects.
- General computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office Products such as: Outlook; Excel; and Word. Also, experience with office operations and equipment including: computers/laptops and keyboards; fax machines; photocopiers; and telephone systems / cellular telephones.
- Needs to be a team player and work well with others.
- Needs to be a self-starter and work with little or no supervision.
- Able to work overtime when assigned and/or required.
- GED or High School degree required.
- Must have a State issued Driver’s License with a Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) driving record acceptable to insurance carrier.
