Elite Corporate Medical Services is seeking a skilled and adaptable Medical Receptionist to join our team on a full-time basis (40 hours / week), providing support at our San Luis Obispo health clinic location. As a Medical Receptionist, you will be responsible for offering comprehensive front and back-office assistance to ensure the smooth functioning of our healthcare facilities. Duties / Responsibilities : Maintain and update patient records with accuracy and confidentiality in adherence to HIPAA guidelines. Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits prior to visits. Review, process, and submit lab orders and billing information. Manage check-ins, check-outs, and patient scheduling, including rescheduling and follow-up calls. Manage patient appointments, including scheduling, rescheduling, and handling cancellations. Process patient referrals and coordinate with external providers when necessary. Manage clinic phones and voicemail, ensuring prompt and professional responses. Maintain clinic spreadsheets and ensure all required documentation is scanned and organized. Verify and ensure all required documentation for pre-employment and workers' compensation visits are scanned and filed appropriately.
