As a Critical Care Registered Nurse (RN) working for Elite Medical Response, your role is crucial in providing advanced medical care and ensuring the well-being of patients during emergency transportation.
**Job Title: Critical Care Registered Nurse (RN) **
**Job Summary: **
As a Critical Care RN for our ambulance company, you will be responsible for providing advanced medical care to critically ill or injured patients during emergency transport. You will work closely with Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) and other healthcare professionals to ensure the safe and timely delivery of patients to medical facilities.
**Key Responsibilities: **
1. Provide high-quality, advanced nursing care to critically ill or injured patients during transport.
2. Assess and monitor patient conditions, including vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and overall stability.
3. Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as directed by protocols and physician orders.
4. Communicate effectively with other healthcare team members to ensure coordinated care for patients.
5. Document all patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner.
6. Maintain and restock medical supplies and equipment onboard the ambulance.
7. Adhere to all relevant protocols, guidelines, and regulations governing emergency medical services.
8. Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
9. Provide support and guidance to EMTs and other staff members as needed.
10. Maintain professionalism and compassion while delivering care in high-stress situations.
**Qualifications: **
1. Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
2. Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
3. Certification in Critical Care Nursing (CCRN) or equivalent highly preferred.
4. Previous experience in critical care, emergency room, or similar fast-paced healthcare setting.
5. Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
6. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
7. Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure.
8. Physical fitness and ability to lift and move patients when necessary.
9. Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
